João Araújo opened the Poetry Recital promoted by the Group "Poesiebriefkasten" and the DBKV on Saturday, September 16, 2017 (in Munich, Germany). At the event, João Araújo was interviewed by Katharina Schweissguth. He then recited his poem "Ao Beijar o Próximo" (Beim Küssen des Nächsten) and played some of his Songs with the participation of the singer Carolina Araújo. The event continued with the participation of several other poets who recited their poetry.

No sábado, 16 de Setembro de 2017 terei a honra e o prazer de abrir o Palco do Recital de Poesia organizado pelo Grupo Poesiebriefkasten e pelo DBKV em Munique na Alemanha. Na ocasião, recitarei, em português e alemão, o meu poema "Ao Beijar o Próximo" (Beim Küssen des Nächsten).

Realizarei o meu Concerto "RIVAL DO DESTINO" em Munique, Alemanha, na próxima quinta-feira, 14 de Setembro às 20:00 horas na casa de espetáculos "Einstein Kultur". No Concerto haverá muita música, violão, trechos de poemas e exibição de Videos. Trata-se de uma viagem pela minha trajetória artística, minhas composições, meus parceiros musicais que muito me orgulham e um pouco da minha poesia.

Der brasilianische Komponist, Percussionist und Musikproduzent feiert sein 20-jähriges Jubiläum als Komponist und lädt den Hörer auf eine Reise durch verschiedene musikalische Genres ein.

Das Repertoire reicht von der traditionellen brasilianischen Samba oder Frevo bis hin zum amerikanischen Jazz.

Dies ist eine CD, die durch Vielfältigkeit inspiriert ist, darunter mehrere musikalische Rhythmen, Klangatmosphären und die Beteiligung verschiedener Sänger.

João Araújo wurde in Recife geboren, im Schmelztiegel einer Stadt mit Einflüssen aus europäischen, afrikanischen und indigenen Völkern des amerikanischen Kontinents. Diese Einflüsse haben die eklektischen Ausdrücke in seiner Arbeit geprägt. Er hat einen multidisziplinären akademischen Hintergrund, mit Master-Abschlüssen in Physik und Gegenwarts-Literatur. Er schrieb Essays über die brasilianische Kultur, verfasste Wissenschaftspapiere, Kurzgeschichten und Gedichte.

João Araújo is a Brazilian composer, poet, percussionist and record producer. He was born in Recife, a melting pot of a city with infuences from European, African and the Indigenous peoples of the American continent. These infuences have informed the eclectic expressions in his work. He comes from a multidisciplinary academic background, with a master degree in Physics and Contemporary Literature. During his career he wrote essays about Brazilian culture, science papers, short stories and poems.

With his new CD, Rival do Destino, João Araújo celebrates 20 years as a composer and invites the listener on a journey through various musical genres. The repertory ranges from traditional Brazilian samba and frevo to American jazz. This is a CD inspired by multiplicity, including several musical rhythms, sound atmospheres and the participation of various singers. It also features some of João Araújo’s musical partners like the Brazilian singer Claudya (who developed her career in São Paulo in the 60s participating in the program “O Fino da Bossa” and excelled in the music scene in 1982 with the song “Don't Cry for Me Argentina” from the musical Evita), the guitarist Luciano Magno (who has extensive international experience with several tours by European countries and the United States) and the saxophonist Márcio Resende (who has a master's degree in music from the New England Conservatory of Music in the USA and has played with artists such as Wilson Simonal, Raimundo Fagner, Toninho Horta, Elza Soares and Belchior).

João Araújo has produced many CD’s. Among them, the CD Valsas Pernambucanas, made with the participation of other composers like Capiba, Nelson Ferreira, Edgard Moraes, Levino Ferreira, Maestro Duda e Adalberto Cavalcanti. He composes also Frevo, the musical symbol of his hometown and has produced the CDs Um Bloco em Poesia, Pernambucarnaval, 10 Anos de Poesia and Um Bloco em Poesia - 15 Anos. These CDs contain all three frevos’ genres: frevo-de-bloco, frevo-canção and frevo-de-rua. Still available in the musical production, João Araújo produced the CD Verso e Canção, with the rhythm Forró, a musical genre of North eastern Brazil.

November 3th, 2016 (Munich, Bavaria) -- What is between Physics, Poetry, Mathematic, Brazilian Music, Data Science and Percussion? The Brazilian João Araújo, or João Poeta has that all and more. His new CD Rival do Destino “Destiny Rival” is full of creativity, rhythm and poetry. At February, 11 2017 at 20:00 he will make a show called "Brasil, Viola e Pandeiro", together with the ten-strings-Brazilian-viola-player and composer João Araújo (namesakes) at the Einstein Kultur (the name of the place must be the work of fate) in Munich. You must to mark this event on your calendar, because it will be an unique opportunity to know whats makes the Brazilian Music so cool.

João Araújo writes science books, poetry and tales, one of them “Os Destinos de Sofia” received the “Agostinho de Leitura” Award. You can get more information about him at his blog: www.jpoeta.blogspot.com  

The ten-strings-Brazilian-viola-player João Araújo is a composer, musician and CEO of the label Viola Urbana from Minas Gerais, Brazil (http://www.violaurbana.com/). He is a researcher of the ten-strings-Brazilian-viola. It’ll be also a researcher and music encounter.

At the show on Einstein will be played percussion, ten-strings-Brazilian-viola and acoustic guitar at rhythms like samba, choro, bossa-nova and frevo.
